College from a Dad's eye's
Well, both my babies are off to college this year. My daughter a senior, my son a freshman. I can't tell you the thoughts that are going through a dad's mind unless you've been there. Wonderful thoughts of dreams for their future and scary thoughts of pitfalls that they will encounter as they grow to become the individuals they are already and those that they are to be! I pray each day for their safety and their well being. I pray that they learn lessons without being hurt too deeply. I smile inside more often than not though because they trully great people and I am deeply aware that they know right from wrong and will choose the correct choices many times more than those that are not. .....to my children, please don't forget to pray for me!!

Thinking about Life
well I'm back! i know it's been awhile, but i was again viewing a blogspot for my good friends Gerald Vicki Harp. They are a wonderful couple that have been in a terrible car accident and are struggling for their lives. We are praying thoughout the Rotary community for each of their full recovery. their son is staying strong as he keeps all of us up to date on their recovery. i admire him a great deal for thinking of other while he goes through this with Gerald and Vicki. I know that my daughter and son would do the same, step up when they need to. I know it because my wife and I have taught them by our example. life is precious and we take it for granted too many times and almost all the time. We waste time and don't call loved ones as often as we should. If you are reading this on the day it is posted don't forget to call your dad tomorrow. tell him you love him and appreciate what he did or is doing for you. pray for him and please pray for my friends Geral and Vicki Harp. that's all for now!

turning fifty ...........
well, i'm new to this. I don't even know if I should use caps or not. guess i won't. my son is teaching his old dad how to text message and my daughter is teaching me how to blog. who would have thunk it? i'm actually in here by mistake, but i kept going. i was in my daughter's blog page and wanted to comment, but i guess you can't comment unless you have a blog page. so, here's mine. i named this turning fifty because i am going to do that in about 40 days. seems strange that i am, but i really don't feel different. possibly a bit more phylisophical (i hope spelling does count in blogs). well, i'm here, i'm on and i'm blogging. now i'm going to comment on my daughter's page. see everyone later.
